(Nashville, Tenn., July 28, 2021) L. Gino Marchetti, Jr., managing partner of Taylor, Pigue, Marchetti and Blair PLLC (tpmbLAW), was recently presented the Richard Boyette Award from the National Foundation for Judicial Excellence (NFJE) for outstanding contributions to the foundation.
The NFJE supports a strong, independent, responsive judiciary by providing officers of the courts with educational programs and other tools that enable them to perform at their highest level. The Richard Boyette Award recognizes individuals or corporations who demonstrate a commitment to excellence in judicial education, that show exceptional creativity and dedication in program development, excel in fundraising activities on behalf of the NFJE, and/or exemplify professionalism in promoting the case for a well-educated judiciary.
In announcing the award, NFJE board chairman Dan Kohane praised Marchetti for his leadership.
“Gino’s characteristics — empathy, transparency, humor, trustworthiness, resilience, passion and empowerment, patience, integrity, vision, and patience — are those of a true leader,” Kohane said. “His love for the judiciary, his love for the rule of law, his love for people are all representative of what is the best in a leader. And his love and unrivaled support for inclusion and diversity changed the direction of this organization. Gino’s inherent goodness makes him the perfect recipient for the Boyette award.”
“We work diligently to help our clients succeed,” Marchetti said, “to represent them with integrity, and to champion the highest standards of our profession. The recognition by NFJE is a powerful affirmation of that work and of all of the firm’s attorneys. I am humbled by this honor and proud of the opportunity I have had to work with this outstanding judicial organization.”
In addition to this recognition, the firm’s attorneys have received numerous recognitions for their legal work. Marchetti has been named to Who’s Who Legal for 2020, a Best Lawyer in America multiple times, and a Mid-South Super Lawyer seven times, an honor bestowed annually upon only the top five percent of Tennessee lawyers.
